It works out and it doesn't
But just because you're not for him
Doesn't mean you shouldn't

He'll break your heart once or twice
But do not cry, you'll find the one
Who cares for you

He'll smile, and let you know he's there
Even though he isn't
If he cares, he'll feel your pain
But if he doesn't, shed no tear
Because the right one will find you here

All alone on the sidewalk
He'll take your hand
And walk you home
He'll kiss you tenderly
And say goodbye,
