When light glows off your eyes,
Time grow past your height,
And life shuts out your presence
Would the world feel your absence?
Day after day
You crawl down the breathing climax
From nascent years to the apex,
And offered you is the labyrinth of gains
Or the winding plight of shame;
And the choice is yours to make,
But would the world hear your name?
What gave Lincoln the honour of majestic grace
And made Einstein one of the world's greats?
Why was Gandi thickly praised,
Hitler unshakably brave?
How did Mandela transcend from earth's unsavory end
To a delectable icon of legend;
And Obama, a global political lord
Albeit called a lesser breed without the law?
What makes men great?
Perhaps its the swinging pendulum of fortune;
The drills of hardwork & courage as quotidian clues.
Is it the crafting molecules of geneology
Or the undying elements of hope & staunch belief?
Whatever be the case,
The absolute love for greatness;
And rational admiration of great men
Can make you one of the world's greatest.
