Mischief At Dawn Poem by Oti Egwu

Mischief At Dawn

Rating: 4.5

Off in the arms of morpheus at dawn
I realized that my crown was gone
Hence searching was futile
Who orchestrated this vice?
What exacerbated such cause?
Gosh! i grumbled and wondered
Ouch! i was peeved and shattered
I pray the day be brighter
But mischief was already at dawn

Wild crowd looms wild
But in their midst you can find the mild
The wise
The liars
Clowns
Intellectuals
And even kleptomaniacs
But literally the first message was criminality

Travesty! these are called graduates
Our politico-economic system they will someday infiltrate
Like our leaders who have led us grappled
And could not cleanse the augean stable
Given their colossal mischief at dawn
Indeed! mischief was at dawn
