Love For Two Poem by Vivian Gloff Mollan

Love For Two

Rating: 4.3

Love is what we search for yet know not it's intent
Perhaps because we do not own—we only rent.
We want the partner at our beck and call
We only want a servant to push around and boss.
Two people sincerely in love, heart and soul
Will think of ways to create a welcome home.
A rose of love, help with the wash or a tender kiss
Perhaps a favorite dinner fix, caring if one's sick.
Love thinks of things to give
money can't always buy
Truth and communication; not full of shades of lies.
If two people pull apart the faith within the heart
The strength of lifelong love will surely depart.
I will treat you as I want you to please treat me
If you do the same for me our love just can't be beat.
