Love Brings

Love brings all that you need in life,
Love brings you to be my wife,
Love brings you from the pit to the surface,
Love brings me to your place,
Love brings you all the joys that your heart searched for,
Love brings me to miss you from the ceiling to the floor,
Love brings tears to our eyes,
Love brings our thoughts to fly,
Love brings me to you to dry and wipe your tears,
Love brings us to be near,
Love brings me to think daily of you,
Love brings us to miss each other too,
Love brings me to not do bad things,
Love brings me to want to sing,
Love brings me to think twice,
Love brings me to also think thrice,
Love brings me to say what I feel,
Love brings me pains so I know it's real,
Love brings me to stay up late,
Love brings us in just like bait,
Love brings me comfort in my bed,
Love brings me to write and use this lead,
Love brings us again to think,
Love brings me sorrows that sink,
Love brings me to change my ways,
Love brings it in a day,
Love brings us to hurt,
Love brings my love to be burnt,
Love brings me to travel a distance,
Love brings me to this stance,
Love brings us together,
Love brings our souls to love forever,
Love brings us a white dove,
Love brings us to exist.

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
