Love

As i set my eyes upon you,
i felt we were bonded,
it filled my heart,
and brought me joy

your face looks like the moon,
your eyes like stars,
your smile captivating me,
my heart not letting it go

you left a trail,
of love and kindness,
captivating everyone

my heart skipped a beat the first time i saw you,
your image stored in the deepest corners,
of my heart and mind,
never will i forget you

my first love,
who made my heart skip a beat

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
