Love Poem by jacqlyn sayre

Love

To be in love is entirely perception.
It can be the most wonderful thing in life,
or filled with pure deception.
Love punctures wounds deeper than any knife.

A single sentence can tear at your heart,
until theres nothing left but shreds.
And in two different paths is how you both part,
Realizing tonight you'll be lying in seperate beds.

Confused, upset, and obsessed
One moment your life was in complete harmony, the next total obscurity.
The memories in your head become ever growing pests
Replaying those events, your head lost all sense of security.

Closing your eyes, shutting it all out
Trying so desperately to feel again
but pain is all your heart seems to shout
Knowing this isn't all love could have been.
