Lost On Ganymede Poem by G J Salgado

Lost On Ganymede

I sat and I wished upon a star
Where stars were as wild as me and afar
A comet came across the sky
It went through my heart and I...
Then you came and you were beautiful
In the most perfect ways and we were magical...
Fairy dust upon your face
With a soul of gold within a cosmic place
You stole my heart, my own eclipse
I felt the galaxies move through your lips
It was strange yet an ageless anomaly
Through the moon's eyes you were everything I could ever be...
We told stories and each other how we felt
While we took a ride through Orion's belt
Passed the Three Kings in the night sky
Where dreams are created and where we sang our lullaby...
Flying among the stars you were the largest moon
Upon the underground sea the brightest light was coming soon
My seventh moon, who knew of the dream that we could be
We escaped into love, we were lost on Ganymede...
