Lost In Sea Poem by Birjais Zahira

Lost In Sea

The dark owl sang in melancholy
The princess was gone, it howled
Did she paint the dark shadow?
And met her ominous future mind.

The ocean waves were crashing, falling like blade
The princess has left the castle
The dark clouds hovered,
And the owl sang the song
The broken pieces of the shadowy night

The darkness was horrifying,
The eyes were dreaming,
The soldiers ran screaming
Looking for the lost princess,
"She went fishing", said one,
But the sounds were blazing
And the animals were running
The storm that was coming
their eyes were fixating,
The boats were turning,
The gates were closing
The princess had left in hurry
The bread crumbs that lay exposing
She found the golden hawk whirling
The winds said it all

The princess she was smart,
A suitor must've come in disguise,
She left the castle gates
In the cold winter night
The guards were looking,
she was nowhere in the waters
the fishes had to say,
the golden hair that whirled
the smell that fascinated miles ahead
but the princess was never found
so the guards closed the gates,
in vain, to let go, the quest

But what if she would return
would you let her back in?
she left in hurry in cold November night
from the once royal dungeon

Years passed, the princess never came
the town had to say,
But faith crawled, so did tales
They said,
she lives in birds, she flies around
circles the castle sometime.

But what if her living had been solitary
did freedom change her mind?
