Lost Goodbyes Poem by Jamie Haddock

Lost Goodbyes

Have you ever searched a bookshelf
for a book on lost goodbyes
Do you think maybe a deaf ear
can hear our lonesome cries
What would I say now that you're gone
You've left me here alone, wishing I would've known
What to say, if I would've had a chance that day
If only I would have seen it coming
You were straying away all along
I wish I would have seen something
but I was blind and now you're gone
No one knows where the lightning strikes
Until it hits the ground, just like us
When our lost goodbyes were never found
Goodbye my friend I hope someday
Lost Goodbyes will find their way
