Lost Days Poem by Emmanuel Bannister II

Lost Days

Ten days in a new life we become we become close and uncontrolled

by a past unbearable to mention, yet to heavy for just one to hold. The

gatekeepers to our hearts no longer on the watch, the warmth of

forgotten emotions grows and through an unmarked window seeps

into our souls. Is this the heat of attraction or just the time of our event?

We bare ourselves naked and allow love to guide this night; never to

speak of what’s done in the dark, never to allow feelings to be brought

to the light. Was this pure love I taste upon my lips? Or again have we

fell in lust with a friend and enjoyed an opportunity no one dare miss.
