Lost And Lonely
smouldering into ashes
of powdery passion,
spent sentiments of
a stolen, broken heart
and a fiery furnace of feelings
i sink into the abyss
of my lost and lonely love...
shocking and sudden
how this unburnt passion
ceases
a live coal crumbling
into cold impotent ashes
a sun-setting love
hurriedly earthed...
a love's lost
can i get it back?
Why would anyone want toget back a lost love? Not me. There are more fish in the sea, and among those fish is one that cares deeply, and has staying power. This poem was written with emotion and feeling, and a longing for a true love. Thank you for sharing. Hugs, Barbara
