Lost Poem by aida melesse

Lost

Rating: 2.8

I lost my companion
I am waiting for it to return
I thought
I would be more without it
I carelessly threw it out in the street.
I thought,
I would be better off without it
to do things my way
the way I wanted

my way
my own

I took the drivers sit
and confident I felt
I got the freedom at last
the freedom I craved

my freedom
my own

I was in control of my life
I thought..

my life
my own

I sped away
did not know the limit
and drove fast
I had my time set up
had to get there on time

my time
my own

I got there alright...
I got there alone
I had lost my companion
had lost my best friend.
