Losing All That I Know Poem by Lindsey Wolf

Losing All That I Know

If only I had knew,
all that had gone wrong.
The battle being waged within you,
hidden behind strength for so long.

Now we sit and wait
for what we do not know.
The evil that we have been subjugated
time both our enemy and foe.

With my heart full of guilt,
it's so hard to say goodbye.
A strong flower now bent and wilting,
we are all immortal but our bodies die.

So now I must lose,
she who has been my life
and still I am confused,
and attempting to overcome my strife.

If only I had seen and taken tip,
seen with eyes yet not knowing.
Your slow, decent slip
the sand of the hour glass was slowing.

And now the reflection in the mirror
forces guilt's lashing pain
upon the see-er,
like my ignorance alone was that which slain her.
