Loretta Lynn's Home Poem by Marilyn Lott

Loretta Lynn's Home

From a little girl with virtually nothing
To a singer with a mansion so fine
A building filled with beautiful dolls
No picture but it's sketched in my mind.

Loretta Lynn had many ups and downs
A talent for song and style
The strength to go after what she wanted
While giving birth to babies all the while.

It was a treat for us that is for certain
To stand in some of the places she might be
Perhaps you too, my friend, may some day
Visit Hurricane Mills, Tennessee!
