Looking Beyond Poem by Paul F. Poole

O tell me what do you see as you gaze far
into the sky.
Deep into the horizon around the stars and
moon there lie.
The color of the darkness, some purple,
black, and blue.
That seems to capture as you stand there
all of you.
Are your thoughts filled with warmness
of the things that you have shared.
Or are they filled with sadness from those
who do not care.
O tell me what do you see as you gaze far
into the sky.
There's something beyond the darkness.
Just keep looking up high.
