Looking Around Poem by Victoria Ritchie

Looking Around

I’m looking around; this empty place,
It used to be full; now there’s so much space,
I’d sit and cry for you; if it made a difference,
But there’s no use; I guess it’s over between us,

I long for the day; you say you love me,
All I need is you; why did this have to be,
I hate this life; why am I still here,
I’ll take you with me; we’ll drown in our tears.
