Longing Poem by Gerhard van der Westhuizen

Longing

Rating: 5.0

Victim of wisdom and wider soul
Burdened by sorrowing passions that overflow
Pursued by thoughts of narrowing mortality,
And decreed by mediocrity unbecoming.
I now become son of pride
And abandoned heart consuming.

A touching poem, thanks for sharing us. Adding the poem on a picture is also a great idea, I like it, I think uploading your reciting of this poem will be cool too, so we can read it and listen to it by its author in the same time. Keep up.
