Long Is The Night Poem by Wakefield Mahon

Long Is The Night

I want you to know I miss you
I want you to know I love you
Except for God Almighty
I hold no one above you

Long is the night and lonely
When reflections upon you rest
To look into your eyes again
To kiss your supple breasts

To taste my lips touching yours
To feel your warm embrace
To know the softness of your skin
As we merge in passion's storm

Fondly, recalling silent nights
And gentle days, now gone by
The warmth of your head upon my chest
Tears come to my eyes

Sweet is the day forthcoming
Our lips again may touch
My arms again surround you
Oh love, I miss you much

Soon again, I'll kiss you
The one I give my love to

You need to know I miss you
You need to know I love you
Except for God Almighty
I hold no one above you
