Loneliness Poem by Julianna A. Laplante

Loneliness

Rating: 4.8

Loneliness is the colour of a blank sheet of paper.
It looks like the last leaf on a tree in Autumn,
And sounds like wind whistling through a winter forest.
Loneliness smells like damp ground after a heavy rain fall,
And it tastes like soup crackers without the soup.
It feels like no matter what, no one will ever love you.

Thank you John. :) I hope I get more support in my life but even as life becomes brighter, I still cannot write anything that isn't depressing. If you look at my other poem... it is the same.

Welcome to PH. This is your first poem posted here and it is very nice. 'It feels like no matter what, no one will ever love you.' - This one sentence expresses loneliness quite well. I have a poem titles 'A Solitary Flower'. If possible, please read it and say a few words as feedback.
