Loneliness Poem by Valerie Daley

Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

We didn't sign up for this
After that first kiss
I thought we would always be together
You and I forever

Now we're torn apart by distance
It's tearing apart my existence
I feel so lonely
So incomplete without you

While the earth smiles in flowers
My world cries in tears
The mundaneness of life
Keeps me busy

I hear your voice
From far across the ocean
It fills me with emotion
And loneliness.
