Rainbow Poem by Valerie Daley

Rainbow

Rating: 5.0

I saw a rainbow over the mountain
I felt the sorrow of the human race
Caught within the prejudice of hate
Searching for the love of all humankind
Restricted by chains of distrust and indignity
We never quite free ourselves from the
Shackles of some sort of slavery
Sometimes it hurts to smile
Sometimes it's easy to cry
Some say there's been a new day
A lack of innocence, a feeling of non-permanence
Life is a revolving sphere
Spinning far behind
The ones we love

You are absolutely correct by saying sometimes it's easy to cry... but not easy to smile.... good piece of work...
