its what we get once in a while
never like the feeling
when you see em all around
and they tell you keep dreaming

in your dreams everything’s great
but the world ain’t so kind
but you can make it work
it just takes time

i walk around everywhere
searching for something I’ll never find
hours turn into months and years
may take a whole lifetime

waiting won’t help ya
go out and get your own
or you’ll be sitting down
in your room alone

loneliness
feeling that breaks
loneliness
feeling that makes

you’ll always wanna come down
go through the day
head spinning round

while you look around
hundreds upon thousands
are there any for you
well worth finding

that person wont be the only
while you try to rid yourself
from being lonely

tell me how long it’ll take
i only wish i knew
i’m about as confused about this
as you

so many people
to have to look for one
feels impossible
but don’t jump the gun

it could happen
with the moment set right
it could happen anywhere
any day or night

you feel it coming
maybe they’re the one
look into their eyes
you’re journey is done

it’s never that easy
many could tell
could make you feel like
a interminable hell

going from one to another
always ends the same
played your heart straight
thats why loves a game

to escape that feeling
we all try to win
with all the trouble
that it eventually brings

loneliness
it’ll put you low
loneliness
make you wanna go

right down to the floor
never try and get up
cuz it seems too hard

but you gotta keep trying
don’t give up now
who knows
they could be eyeing you now

but either way all it shows me
is what people have to do
to not be lonely

then you find a glympse of hope
with eyes that shine
they lock with yours
you know its time

you know its there
the beautiful meeting
the horrible feeling
finally gone

you’ve found what you need
and you got what you wanted
under the moonlit sky
with stars and comets

but i doubt i’ll get that anytime soon.
