I still wonder
How that could all be a lie
The feelings were there, the love was real
It's not like it was another guy

I made some bad choices
That weren't well thought out
Which led to the dissolving of our friendship
And a sea of doubt

I still held you at night
But only in my dreams
I snuggled with the pillow
Since I can't sleep without it, as it seems

I still love you
How could I not
Even through the problems
Even though we fought

Come on
I'm still your friend
I wanna make you happy
Till the very end

Nothing like that could change
If we truly had something before
Than this should pass and go
But there was still a need for more

Love, I know I messed up
I know I messed up your life
I know I should be the one to fix this
And I'll be the one to make things right

I will try for us
For past and future friendship
Because I won't leave you hanging this time
I won't try to end this

Just hold on
I'll make it up to you
A step at a time
This will be true

I wont let you cry
I wont ruin your day
I won't let our friendship die
