Lockdowncovid19 Poem by Tribhuvan Mendiratta

Rating: 5.0

#Lock-down
The world stayed at home
Read books
Listened and rested
Did exercises, made art and played
Learned new ways of being
To listen more deeply
Someone meditated, prayed
Or met their shadow
And began to think differently
Visualizing aftermath;
A world healed?
Absence of people living in ignorant ways!
Dangerous, meaningless and heartless?
Will the earth also begin to heal,
After the People have grieved for the dead?
And made new choices;
And dreamed of new visions;
Of a new way of living.
Will they stop giving fresh wounds;
That were, (If ever)healed?
