Living Poem by Brandon Brown

Living

Rating: 5.0

Life has no meaning
why do I try,
I ran to escape
this impossible lie.

I look for a route
an inglorious road,
with a dirt ridden path
and a mountain that folds.

I met my end
I saw my body,
I thought it was over
but it was a folly.

He told me 'go back'
and I was surprised,
He closed the gate
the light then subsides.

And here I am
still alive,
and I can't help but wonder
why, God why?
