Live Like A Pauper Poem by Paolo Giovanni Lonewolf Marra

Live Like A Pauper

Live like a pauper
No money to my name
Happy in a cardboard box am I
With no-one to blame
No expectation, responsiblity or fame
No need to conform
Or work like a slave to finally go insane
Just free to be me and go roaming around
Experiencing life,
Always laughing and smiling never wearing a frown
Take pleasure in all that life has to give
Being my true self, totally free just to live

I like the sense of freedom expressed. However, I sense in this piece an underlying loneliness.
