Little Red Note Book. Poem by chantel weston

Little Red Note Book.

you write them all
you treasure them all
little slips of paper
or pages upon pages of writing.

theres on way
to know what ones you like
and what ones you dont
until you go through and
take a big bite
out of each one
the writings of passion
the feelings of guilt
the admissions of love
and the confusion we all felt.

there is no way
to be sure who will love them
and who will want to burn them
we have to find a place where we
can keep them
our minds will not surfice
for they grow old and forgetful
age takes more then beautie
it takes our memories.

a place to keep them
a safe little nook
my little red note book
it their home
a place for them to go and
know that the only one that
reads them in there is the one
that loves them dear
no worrys for them
not in my little red note book.
