Little Lizards Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Little Lizards

Feed those crazy little lizards
Myopic words like their little tongues
More insecurity
More feigned kisses
I wonder if I feel anything romantic

She tells me of her codependent mother
I tell her of the third person poetry
When will the venture have a future?
We look for interesting pain
Feed those hungry little lizards
