Little Girl Poem by Angel Marie

Little Girl

Pretty little girl
All dolled up and raring to go
Giving away little pieces of herself
Searching for what, she doesn't know

Inside the fragile little body
Lives a battered, broken soul
Blue eyes which lost their sparkle
Sweet innocence lost long ago

Sad little angel with broken wings
Damaged before she learned to fly
Brave little girl, all alone
Silently she cries

Good little girl with her secret
Walked through life, hiding in shame
Blemished, flawed, never good enough
An unworthy and unloveable girl, is all that she became

Another good poem exposing the tragedy of abuse, its good to make others aware of it and help to stamp it out.
