Little Bird Poem by Rajendra padhi

Little Bird

LITTLE BIRD
Little bird, how do you venture
Reach to clouds in heady pace
Flapping your wings,
so little?

How do you look at the people
Bustling in shade and light
Swinging your eyes,
so small?

How do you sing pure melody
Echoing the silvery streams
In such a throat,
so sweet?

How do you dance in blue rain
Twinkle on the clinging vines
In your grey feet,
so solid?

How do you fly in wild solitude
A journey amidst stormy wind
In your swift heart,
so joyous?

How do you relish songs blissfully
Encircling a world so terrible
In freedom of spirit,
so precious?

How do you fade behind the vale
The sunset like a snake’s tongue
In a life of days and nights,
so little?
