Listen To Her Sing Poem by Jeff Siegel

Listen To Her Sing

Oh how she sings,
In beautiful refrain,
When caustic clouds have gathered,
And the day begins to feign.

When the night becomes so torrid,
And the chimes no longer swing,
When stars become less florid,
Just listen to her sing.

The smile in her voice,
Like that of a warm embrace.
To see it leaves no choice
Than to believe in a higher grace.

But, oh how she sings
In moments left undone,
To hear her voice in everything
From moon to rising sun.

And though I am talked about,
Of her death, I now reject.
To hear her voice, there is no doubt
To have her thoughts in retrospect.

So come and sit beside me
And take my hand, this withered wing,
And cast your thoughts to a deepen sea,
And listen to her sing.

My love is here beside us,
Just listen to her sing.
