Listen Poem by Audrey Heller

Why, won't people listen, when
they're spoken to? In fact, what
does it take, to make them aware
of you? Finally, when you manage
to get their undivided attention,
along comes someone and causes
intervention. It's frustating because
you're standing so close and yet so
far. Some people, I guess are the
silent type and keep to themselves,
they'd rather not disclose, anything
at all. However, I find it healthier to
get things off my mind and should
there be a next time, it's going to be,
their call!
