The Cherry Blossom lost it's leaves and died like you,
It was once so fresh and young like you.
When it's flowers laughed through the summer rain,
Just like you laughed through all this pain.
It's foliage shaded the chapel's yard,
And it's fruits the birds would guard.
Just like you shaded fear with all your words,
And your patience guarded your own world.
The Cherry Blossom was full of beauty,
Just like you beauty's not a rarity.
The Cherry Blossom was fresh and young like you,
But then again, the Cherry Blossom died like you.
