Like Being Alone In America Poem by Miroslava Odalovic

Like Being Alone In America

or being an angel full of anger

like an april baby
who still believes in birth
or a brother butterfly

like cindarella children
in cities of courage and craze
dancing in the darkness
with the daughters of death
depression and despair

like family dreams
father fate fear and fire
friends fed on freedom
freedom fed on funerals

like a grief haiku
entangled in a girl’s hair
like the heart of a hero
and a hope of home

like a house housebound
identity and innocence
january joy and the kiss of june

like a lonely laughter
after love’s lost and lives found on moons
memory spun in the marriage of mirrors
murderous music of the mother nature
an ode to ocean nights

a poem on pink paris passion
schoosl of romance and roses

poetry of pride power poverty and racism
red rain remembered by the rainbow
running river deep
through seasick silver sky

like the sleep of snakes
and only sometimes
sometimes like soldiers

like a song of spring and a sonnet of sorrow
suicidal star swimming to the sun

like sympathy and thanks teachers of time
trustfully together travelling their truth

like the wedding of water and woman

such is the war
of all the work of the world
