Like A Stone Poem by William Johansen

Like A Stone

Let me tell you a story about this woman i once met,
She could kill you with her eyes, and show no sign of regret,
She carried the coldest and the darkest stone in her chest,
It was nothing like a heart, rather the devils nest,

Her words meant so much, but they made no sense,
She could rip out your soul with them, but mean no offense,
She fed of peoples misery, and therefore she was alive,
She lived in an ocean of sorrow, would you dare to take a dive?

The first time i stopped, as our eyes first met,
I felt instantly addicted, and so would you to i bet,
She would trick you into believing you loved her with all of your heart,
Your feelings would take over, no matter if you were smart,

She would raise your hopes, and raise your mood,
So she could crush your heart and all that's good,
She would leave your remains in a corner alone,
As you would sit there cold, just like a stone.
