Like A Glove Poem by Casey Gochnour

Like A Glove

Oh she sits near me once more at work,
How she catches my eye and manages a smirk.
Capturing my spirit, my being in her guise,
While she stares into the window of my soul: my eyes.

Hannah, oh Hannah how we've had our times,
And I know it's been some time since you've heard my rhymes.
But I want to show you once more my love through word,
How ever since the first moment you had my heart stirred.

Baby, let me tell you a thing or two about our love,
It fits you and me, both of us like a glove.
It snuggles our fingers and palms alike,
Warming our skin as love came to strike.

We're a pair unmatched, we seldom don't match,
Always supportive, I'd say just the right catch.
Okay baby seriously, sorry for amateur rhymes,
I should probably go do hard times for all these word crimes.

Your love is magic in itself, your arms an everlasting heaven,
Mistakes left left and right, yet still I'm forgiven.
You've given me more than I could ever ask for,
All of your heart and even more, all the way down to your very core.

You give me light, you give me hope,
From the beginning I was hoping we'd elope.
But alas, such an adventure was never meant to be,
We'll have our own story, just you and me.

And so I stare at you while you think and write,
Your beauty radiating, your eyes so bright…
So deep, so wonderful… your eyes hold my dreams,
For my hopeful future lies with you, it seems.

I just want you to know I appreciate all that you do,
I'd do anything, give anything just to keep sleeping with you.
To hold you close, to hold you near,
With your kisses so gentle, kisses so sincere.

Wrap me in your love, give me your all,
Speak your words, write them up on the wall.
I want to give you all of me in exchange for all of you,
Because you're the only one I would give all of me to.
