Life's Liquid Poem by Nandipha Mphanya

Life's Liquid

I try and pour you everyday
I seem to miss the right dose
The season
The reason
How can I make you giveth without letting you feel pain
Pollen for all to rise, beautify the dry lands and make bees smile
Is my water right
My hand right
My heart cried
As I couldn't water you enough
I left you outside a red car the other day
much love and care given? water?
Was the water better than mine..
My soil fertile enough
My pit and pot placed right
Did I enable sun to reach you
Or blind you out, and let you die
Is that why I forgot you in the red car
Could it symbolize my fire
Fired up this pain I feel
Did I think it take away the pain as it left?
Or mere distance from my weak stench
All I wish is to water you enough
Don't die on me now
Your pollen...
