Life's Design Poem by Robert Longley

Life's Design

All I ever wanted
All my hopes and dreams
Cast in you this moment
At least that’s how it seems

For you there’s something missing
For me it seems complete
The life you have is worthy
When you stand on your own two feet

Could it have worked out different?
Timing life’s design
Yes it makes you wonder
But I think it turned out fine

I know you’d like to hear it
Though you won’t hear it out loud
You know that we both love you
But we’re reminding you we’re proud
