Life's A Requiem Poem by Abhilash Pattnaik

Life's A Requiem

Like a journey so unknown, a story left unsaid,
The voyage of life so vulnerably beset
With the boundaries and the lines we ourselves made
Fallacy and tyranny in them so scrupulously laid.

Aimlessly into this world we are born,
When swiftly the years of childhood seem gone
Thereafter starts our quest for perfection
Lost we are, in spite of the directions.

The path we choose seems perfectly laid,
But eventually the perfect pathway starts to fade
Fade into the diabolic well of oblivion
Blinded we are by our very own vision.

So ask thyselves what at the end we take,
Whether or not it sums up to what we in the past gave.
While the regret of not having done enough never goes, But
Count will He not the friends we made, but the intrigued foes.
