Life By Mai Venn Poem by Mai Murphy Venn

Life By Mai Venn

Under attack from, a manufactured virus
Wars have come and gone, we lived on
Famines have come and gone, we lived on
Disasters have come and gone, we lived on

My window become my viewpoint
Life continues its zigzag path
Leading the way to, God knows where
An invisible map guides the trail

Onwards I go into unknown territory
Winter, spring, summer, and autumn
It is all the same in the color gray
Dull, dark, dismal, dangerously depressing.

Purgatory lingers around every corner
Hells, images creep in like an evil fog snare
Deepening on the pressure of the mind
Pressing down on all memories of peace

Recollections of life before covid, fading
Into a bleak blank space behind my dreams.
Drilling my upper arm with strange vaccines
Pending on the pharmaceutical marketplace

To live, to die, or to survive the pandemic,
A question, the answer, wait, time will tell.
History in the making of the covid nineteen virus war
Victims from all nations await the resurrection

Schools are modern-day concentration camps.
Hitler- like dictators making laws using our children.
It is a form of experimentation on the young.
As if they were Gods to dominate our world

The end of January 2022 and the resurrection begins.
Our government lifts the restrictions in a flash
One wonders what it was all about
Is there a plot, a blunder, or just a freak infection?
