Lies 'Bout You Poem by Lynette Lawrence

Lies 'Bout You

It's one of these damn sleepless nights,
so I stay awake and write about passed times.
I've been had for a few times,
and told myself many lies.

Lies about my life,
lies 'bout what I perceived to be right,
lies about wrong things
that later like curses, on a strange date, came true.
But mainly these lies were about you.
