Libran Balance Poem by Michael John Cook

Libran Balance

A feeling on which one cannot act
Can be nothing more than cruel
To want to break an unspoken pact
To shatter an unwritten rule
One question belays this intention
Better to just let things be?
A truth too infectious to mention
It's consequence easy to see
On the scales, in a Libran balance
This dilemma could always remain
Too afraid to embark on a chance
Knowing things could not be the same
A decision on which there may come no good
No matter which way you may choose
Your feelings could be misunderstood
Would you gamble it all just to lose?
Do not fear of the path you do follow
Nothing ventured, nothing gained
Why you could always wait for tomorrow
Who knows, your feelings may change
