Released but with chains,
happy but in pains,
I am free but in a cage,
before the audience, never on the stage.

Liberty my foot!

I live off my limit and bondage,
satisfied, absent name on history's page,
mindless, I traverse my captivity,
rotting, dying, drowning in obscurity.

Liberty my foot!

But they said they set me free,
'you can be anything you want to be',
to go and make exploits,
to make my shackles my exploits.
