Letting Go Poem by Blaine Strong

Letting Go

Rating: 4.8

Here comes that hopeless feeling again
There goes my way of life and still then
I let it all go.
Tossed into a wastebasket of memories
All I've ever been is filth, all that I am
awaiting a light from your window.
I've got that lovesick feeling again
When we touch my head and more starts to spin
Round and round I don't know how to begin
To get it all back.
Gathering what's left of my ego
In a little black box by the bed
From a mansion to a shack
I've got this mystery in my head
That some girl would take me back to life from the dead.
When I wake up lost out here all alone
So I could leave again.

Disappointment and anxiety that is after the exit of blissful love is well depicted in the poem. Good piece of poetry, well articulated and insightfully penned from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Blaine. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
