Letters To My Soul Poem by Lori Boulard

Letters To My Soul

Rating: 4.5

Have you ever seen your soul
Or felt it outside of yourself?
My soul and I are at peace, like
Lifelong long distance lovers
He is a little pad of paper
I keep him in my pocket
Close to my heart
And when I miss him
I take him out
Hold him warmly in my hand
And write him a letter

Love the twist of a male soul, as mentioned below! That got me.... Odd really, 'cos I've got a female one.... oh she's so sweet..... Rogerx.

It's great that you have such access! And interesting that your soul comes across as 'he'. (we all certainly need to find the inner opposite in ourselves, to be whole.)

And when you write him a letter magnificent poems like this appear and you make him and the heart near him so proud.. Superb poem! HBH

I love this poem Lori. I think our 'soul' should be viewed as you describe. (maybe same as conscience?) Great poem. Mary
