Let This Life, Behold Poem by Gamaliel Scipio

Let This Life, Behold

Let this life, behold!

Just imagine
Wisdom
Being of use
To a fool?
Just imagine
How long
The day
Have been
At war
With the night
Just imagine
How long
The darkness
Been chasing
The light
Just imagine
How long
The heat
And the cold
Been deadlock
In their fight
I can only
Imaging
Millions of years
In these simplest
Of ways
I can see
How evolution
Rest conjoined
With creation
To me God’s
No mystery
Let this life, Behold! .
