Let's Stay Young Poem by Connor Brennan

Let's Stay Young

Running around like kids on the street
Our souls are free, Our hearts still beat
Feeling the pavement beneath our feat
Enjoying our time in the opulent heat

Moments of joy, and childish play
We're growing up faster everyday
We’re almost done and this I see
But when its over will you stay with me

My heart is not mine, it is now yours
Our souls will dance on these pavement floors
We'll dance and play, We'll laugh and sing
No care for tomorrow, or what it should bring

We sing aloud as the sun dips away
Bringing an end to the light of the day
When the singing of our last song is sung
Do you think we can still stay young
