Lessoned By Loss Poem by Philip Mutuku

Lessoned By Loss

I shed a tear,
from what sight shows.
you are no more dear,
soul away flows,
out of you,
to leave me memories,
out to you,
are many sorries.
for my absence,
when presence was deservide,
at your life's expence,
paid off is pride.

i had love,
and dreams,
so above,
just sailing streams,
of joy and pain.
it was for eternal gain.
for you and I,
yet i stand to say goodbye,
and nothing more.
i cry in wish of before.

a coward,
i am houred,
out,
your candle burned out.
muscled by regret,
in the shadows of sorrow,
with fate i bet,
that love wont pass me tomorrow.
