Left Out In The Cold Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

Left Out In The Cold

Rating: 5.0

I'm shedding tears of pain,
and I'm afraid I'm going to go insane.
I'm feeling sick, tired and old,
like I've been left out in the cold.

I want to be able to sing,
and to completely remove the sting.
I need to be brought back into the fold;
I feel I've been left out in the cold.

I'm having trouble getting to sleep,
just lying here trying not to weep.
I want to be brave and bold,
but I've been left out in the cold.

I've been wanting to tell my story,
and to claim some of God's power and glory;
but it's impossible to grab it and hold,
because I've been left out in the cold.
